My artwork is inspired by moments of serenity, where stillness and quiet observation lead to a deeper understanding of space and form.
I am drawn to the intersection of painting and sculpture, using simple, refined shapes to evoke emotion. Through curved, raised, hard-edged abstractions and luminous surfaces, I create compositions that explore the relationship between material, line, and subtle shifts in color.
Central to my practice is the concept of Ma, a Japanese term for negative space, which informs my study of the dynamic interplay between presence and absence. Each piece is built with a precise layering technique that creates delicate ridges, gradually outlining and bisecting shapes.
Rooted in abstraction, my artwork subtly evokes familiar forms—landscapes, human figures, organic cells, and architectural elements—while exploring spatialism and the complex interplay between dimension and perception. I work with acrylic paint on canvas, wood, and ceramic glazes, integrating 24k gold leaf, palladium leaf, glass, and sand to add layers of depth, texture and richness.
My art offers a quiet, reflective moment, inviting the viewer to experience harmony, beauty and contemplation.
